In the light of the forthcoming visit to China of Vladimir Putin, and the incoming energy agreement between China and Russia, analysts have been discussing about the potential reality of a new Eurasian continentalism as an alternative pole (politically and economically) to the maritime-based American dominion. Prof. Chen will give a talk about the dynamics of Sino-Russian relations in light of the Ukrainian tension, the reemergence of an “Iron curtain” in Europe and the US pivot in the Asia-Pacific.
