About 80% of the speakers of the monthly events of ThinkIN China are local experts from a range of areas relevant to issues of contemporary China. Foreign experts are also invited, often to present an alternative perspective. We have been able to win speakers from prestigious universities and research institutions, such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, or the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
We look for academics, practitioners, journalists, media people, etc. who can inform our audience with their local expertise and firsthand experience.
ThinkIN China does not necessarily agree with the viewpoints of the speakers, but we find understanding of the Chinese perspective a necessary precondition to engage in a useful dialogue.
In this section you can see which speakers have contributed to TIC events so far. You are also invited to suggest a speaker whose research or practical experience is relevant and worth to be presented to an open and engaged audience such as TIC’s by dropping us an eMail.
