Speaker Biography
Born in 1981, Dr. HUANG was awarded a BA in Diplomacy and an MA in International Politics (thesis title:“International Democracy. From the perspective of constructivism”) from China Foreign Affairs University. Since 2010 she is a PhD student in European Studies at the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) where she also serves as an Assistant Researcher.
Her main research interests are public diplomacy, media and public opinion, national image and identity and Sino-EU relations. Her contributions have appeared on Contemporary International Relations, International Data Information and in the edited volume EU CFSP in a Global Era (ed. ZHENG Qirong, World Knowledge Publisher: 2008).
She speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
