westgaarthKate Westgarth is a British researcher and career diplomat. She has spent over a decade in China. She was a Visiting Scholar at the Academy of Marxism, under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Her research interests are socialism with Chinese characteristics, elite Chinese leadership politics, Chinese foreign policy and Contemporary Chinese Politics, Elite Leadership.
